MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION FOR MASTER’S DEGREES

Most master’s courses are offered in English as a medium of instruction in Belarus, so international students do not need to study language courses before a master’s degree, but this option is only for those foreign students who are good at English.

Master’s applicants, who are not that good at English, in their first year, study at a Russian language faculty, where they learn the Russian language. Normally, these international students come from these countries: Algeria, Morocco, Tunis, Angola, Guinea, Cameroon, Mozambique, Congo, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, etc.

If your desired master’s degree course is not offered in English, then in the first year, these international students study at preparatory faculty, where they learn the Russian language for 10 months with science or arts subjects.

After completion of their Russian language course, they start their master’s degree program.

Admission requirements for a master’s degree

The admission process is very simple for master’s courses, as international students send a scan of their bachelor’s degree with a travel passport copy to the email of the admissions office, and the admission office informs them after an eligibility assessment about their admission possibilities for a master’s course at one of the state universities in Belarus.

Eligible international applicants send their admission fee and scan the admission fee receipt to the admissions staff for their records.

After receiving the admission fee receipt, the admission office forwards all admission documents to the migration department.

In Belarus, admissions for international students are issued by the migration department, and this issuance process takes two weeks.

Admissions for master’s programs go on throughout the year in Belarus, and there is no deadline.
