There are two levels available to study biomedical engineering.
1: BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
Biomedical engineering is offered at the bachelor’s degree level, and the duration of this course is four years at state technical universities in Belarus.
WHAT QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR A BACHELOR’S DEGREE AT ANY UNIVERSITY IN BELARUS?
To study for a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at any engineering university in Belarus, all foreign students have to study for four years, and in case their desired course is not offered in English as the medium of instruction, they study in their first year at a Russian language faculty with science subjects, and upon completion of their preparatory course, they join their biomedical engineering at any engineering university.
2: MASTER’S DEGREE IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
To study for a master’s in Belarus, the duration is two years at all universities.
WHAT QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR A MASTER’S ADMISSION TO UNIVERSITIES?
There are many foreign applicants who want to study for a master’s in Belarus, and for admission, they all should already have a bachelor’s degree with them, no matter from where they earned their bachelor’s degree, whether in Belarus or abroad.
In the event that a master’s degree is not offered in English as the medium of instruction, all foreign applicants study at a Russian language faculty in their first year, and upon completion of their preparatory course, they join their master’s degree at any university.
HOW DO I SEND ADMISSION DOCUMENTS?
All foreign students who want to study biomedical engineering are required to send their educational documents and an international passport copy.
In the past, foreign students have been sending their documents through different postal and courier services, and it was a very expensive and time-consuming process. Even sometimes, they lost their documents on the way.

In Belarus, all the admissions for any course are approved by the migration department.
The issuance time is two weeks for an official study invitation at the migration department.
Once issued, this official study invitation is sent to the foreign applicants for their Belarus student visa processing.
